It’s a record year for our parish Garden of Mercy and gardeners! This week the garden totals have pushed past 3,000 lbs. In a summer of a roller coaster of extreme weather, our skillful and caring gardeners have tended our parish garden plot to produce an extraordinary amount of fresh vegetables for families in need.
According to KOC garden master Bruce Harvey, “This is what happens when you have a good farmer, a good watering team, and a whole group of amazing volunteers!” KOC gardeners Sean M. and Larry F. join Frank F. who is holding a home gardener’s donation of a gourd/squash that weighed over 3 lbs.! Not only did our Garden of Mercy produce this week, but many of the items pictured are from parishioner home gardens. Thank you everyone!
